What is an AI Bill of Materials?

An AI-BOM is a structured inventory of every component in your AI system — analogous to a Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) but extended to cover models, training data, evaluation datasets, inference infrastructure, and governance structures.

AI-BOMs support compliance with the EU AI Act (Article 11 technical documentation), ISO 42001 governance requirements, and internal procurement and risk management processes.
